Year 3 Spring Term

Please find below the Year 3 Spring Curriculum Statement, detailing what we will be learning about this term.

What are we reading in Year 3 this term?

Children’s Mental Health Week

This week we have been celebrating mental heath week. We all have to check in how we are feeling in the morning and after lunch using the ROAR rainbow.

We have been listening to assemblies, learning how to stay safe online, talking about how we grow together and thinking about how people can help us when we need it. We got to dress up to express ourselves and raise money for mental health resources in our school.

During number day Year 3 had a brilliant day. We played number games to develop our mathematical skills and during PE we recorded and compared our resting pulse rate to our active pulse rate. During the circuit training session we could definitely feel the difference.

Reading Festival

Year 3 have enjoyed taking part in Liverpool Reading Festival this week. On Friday we took part in a live lesson with author Richard O’Neill , who talked about his book ‘The Lost Homework’. Then we discussed what would we do if we lost our homework!
