We have links with many other Primary and Secondary Schools in Liverpool, particularly those in The South Liverpool Learning Network.
St. Margaret’s CE High School offers PE and and some After School Activities to support pupils from St. Anthony of Padua.
Children from our school have been involved with several Primary Schools in the area working on an E-Safety Project.
Each Christmas and Summer members of the Parish are involved with our school Fayres.
Parishioners, Governors and parents are invited to school Masses in Church.
Governors regularly visit school and attend Concerts, Masses, Assemblies, School Trips and specific events such as Book Week. Each class has a Governor representative and Governors also attend subject monitoring sessions, working with subject co-ordinators to evaluate teacher’s planning and pupil’s work.
At Christmas older pupils visit Nursing Homes in the local area to sing carols to the residents.
We have strong links with the parents through the PTA, who organise regular fundraising events in order to support our school.
Parents also offer support by hearing children read or sharing their subject knowledge with pupils, for example, one parent recently gave a talk to our Year 6 class on the Second World War.
Many parents get involved in our Inspiration Weeks, for example, attending Maths Workshops or working on Art Projects.
Many Speakers, Experts or Community Groups come to school, to talk to the children and share their expertise. Speakers from Dr. Barnardo’s, Guide Dogs for the Blind etc. have spoken to the school about Charity Fundraising Activities.
The children are always keen to support local charities and those further afield. Representatives from our school regularly attend the Good Shepherd Mass at the Cathedral and the School Council decide on which Charity they wish to support each year, for example “Zoe’s Place,” “Help for Heroes” “CAFOD”.
