Dear Parents/Carers,

A very warm welcome to our class page!

We are really looking forward to being part of your child’s learning journey.

The Early Years Foundation stage is a vital beginning to a pupil’s education and we are here to support your child in every way we can.

Miss Griffin is really looking forward to encourage your little explorers to enjoy and flourish in their new environment.

Miss Aziz is really excited help your child expand their vocabulary and become articulate speakers.

Miss Fitzgerald is eager to learn about your child’s interests and become an adult they can approach with any worries or problems.

In St Anthony of Padua school, we are passionate about reading, Miss Griffin’s favourite children’s author is Maurice Sendak and Mrs Aziz’s favourite children’s author is Michael Morpurgo.

Key Information

  • Friday maths challenge: A fun activity to do at home over the weekend, this does not need to be returned to school and is an example of what activities you can do at home to support your child. Feel free to make this more or less challenging to suit your child.
  • Reading book: Please aim to read for 5-10 minutes every day with your child. Reading books need to be kept in the plastic protective book bag provided and brought in to school everyday. They will be changed every Friday.
  • Thursday: ‘Show and Tell’ an opportunity for your child to share something they have achieved or proud of with the class.
