St Anthony of Padua is a small Catholic Primary School, which opened in the early 1970’s. The original site for the school was Green Lane, but the school moved to the present site in 1971.
Everything we do at St. Anthony of Padua reflects our school Mission Statement and Motto, which is “Working Together Following Jesus”
Over the last few years the school has been very successful in achieving a variety of awards:
In 2004 we achieved the “Activemark Gold,” this is a national award, which demonstrates the school’s commitment to physical activity.
To complement our sports award, and in recognition of our commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles, we achieved the full “Liverpool Healthy Schools Award” in 2005.
As a school we endeavour to support all those with Special Needs, hence, in 2005 we were awarded “Dyslexia Friendly School Level 1” status.
We achieved the Inclusion Mark and the Basic Skills Quality Mark in May 2007 and our School Travel Plan gained an award of nearly £5000 this September. The funds will be spent on improving travel facilities.
